A G Kakouris & Co. was the old style of the sole practitioner firm that took offices in Finsbury Park, London N4 in 1983 from a client base that was garnered through the late 1970s.
The sole proprietor was Andreas G Kakouris whom was the founding partner, having qualified as an ACCA back in 1970.
The firm grew in status and reputation amongst its traditional local and ethnic client base and soon became recognised as one of the leading firms in North London.
Over time, the firm went through transition periods as was the vogue in the late 1980s and early 1990s but eventually consolidated its standing. Andreas qualified as a liquidator and began offering those services in a parallel business to the Accountancy practise, which allowed further organic growth through cross over trade and additional standing as a firm of some reputation and capability.
In 1990, Andreas was honoured with the position of Treasurer of the North London District Society of the ACCA, a position he held for twelve years.
Whilst Andreas added to the business offering, he also oversaw the introduction of the family succession take shape in the forms of his son, George Kakouris and son in law, Alex Christofi who joined the firm in 1995.
Twelve years on and as qualified ACCAs, Alex & George have overseen the transition to the firm we see today. Andreas plays a consulting role, whilst the ‘sons’ have engineered the move from London N4 to modern offices in the Old Post Office Building, Winchmore Hill, London N21 and now practice under the Company name A G Kakouris Ltd t/a AGK.
The firm is stronger than ever and attracts clients from across the broad spectrum of London ethnicities and cultures and equally split between a youthful and mature client base.
After the geographic move, a marketing drive has followed to ensure the practice keeps ahead of pace with the business world of today. A major re-branding exercise has already taken place and together with the new website, AGK are proud to serve you knowing it is ready for any challenges that come before it.
